The busy started on Friday. It was the 5Th grade picnic party. There are 76 graduating 5Th graders and last Friday the PTA threw them a picnic party. They walk to a local park and volunteer parents cook hot dogs and hamburgers. They stuffed themselves on the party fare and played games and just had blast.
Saturday was Alex's 11Th birthday. He wanted to spend the day with his dad at DieCon. So that's what he did, he and a friend. I took the dogs to the vet and did some shopping for them then tried to get the house clean for Sunday. We did take him out to dinner at Las Palmas for his birthday dinner. He got the birthday ice cream and the whipped cream in the nose routine. Rhia was with a friend and her family at an indoor football game and spent the night at her friends house.
Sunday was the surprise party for Alex. He had no idea that we had invited some of his friends over for the afternoon for a party. All the kids but one stayed two hours past the party end time. Then John grilled for the family and the neighbors. We all stuffed ourselves and he went back to DieCon to help close it down and pack up. Since the kids coming over was supposed to be a surprise I did not do any shopping until Sunday morning. He would have really know something was up if I had all the extras in the house.
I have been working slow all day today.
