Children and emergency rooms: The daughter got an internal infection that kept us in the emergency room and at Children's Hospital PAWS department from 11:30pm 1/31/11 until 3pm 2/1/11. She had to have outpatient surgery both times to drain and wash away an internal infection. Of all things it is a deep under the skin cyst caused by a hair follicle. If it flairs up again and gets as infected (requiring any form of surgery) she could be laid up for 3 weeks to 4 months with an aspirator machine to handle the drainage. SUCKS! She goes back to the hospital tomorrow to have the packing changed or removed and her dressing changed and have the incisions checked.
I think today is Wednesday. After getting 3 1/2 hours of sleep in 48 hours I am still trying to center myself.
The son got egged on at school by another boy last week and well my son lost his temper. We have had 2 snow days so far so hopefully the punch in the face by my son to the other kids egging and teasing has subsided by now.
I hopefully will finish a pair of socks I started about 6 months ago. I have to make a change to the second sock that I did not consider with the first sock. I made it so it goes up my calf a slight bit, and well one will fit just a smidge tighter than the other. I dislike tight socks around my calf. I will post pictures later here and on Ravelry.
We in St. Louis have been on the watch for bad weather since Monday. My night class was canceled due to the rain and ice we were and did get in some places. Mine and the kids schools were called off for Tuesday and today. We did not get the foot of snow we were predicted but we did get so much sleet yesterday on Tuesday that driving home from the hospital at 3pm was like driving 15 miles on a thick wet sandy beach. Glad I know how to drive on it.
Oh I was so tired after the last 2+ days. I woke up this morning not knowing what day it was. :) I am so far behind in school and studying that it is daunting. You know I am even too tired to ramble on about anything. So there you go.
