Doctor Visit update for 5/21/2013

Well the wound vac came off today!  Hurray!  My incision has healed up enough that I can finish the exterior healing with a wet to dry gauze bandage.  I still have the ostomy bag though.  Next month's visit will be to check on my healing, and to hopefully set me up with the surgeon that will do the second surgery to put me back together.  But that date will be up to that surgeon and my internal healing.  I believe I will have to have another CT scan to look at my innards to make sure that my organs are all back where they should be and that I am all healthy on the inside.   But with the wound vac off I consider this the 1/3 way to full recovery mark.  It was 57 days ago today I had surgery, almost 2 months, now 4 more months to go (approximate time line here folks).

I am released to drive and work after the end of this week.  Well next week is the last week of school for the two districts I substitute in and the surgeon said to just stay out of work, so I guess I really am not released to work.  But I can start driving after my nurse visits are done with this week.  But the problem there is the car is in the shop.  Not a fast, easy or cheap fix either.  I am just hoping that my extended warranty covers all of the work, except for my deductible of course.  I took it to a new service center this time and at least they could confirm my complaints and locate the problem, where the other GM shop sucks the big one that I took it too before.  But this new shop seems not to be too keen on the idea that the warranty company will cover the problem if found to be valid.  Prayers for my poor car and my empty pocket book please!!!!!

The daughter is taking her finals in high school this week.  She is worried about just one final, algebra.  That was today and she is currently waiting to see if she passed.  She has to pass the final to pass the class and to graduate.  The son has finals next week, he is not a senior, and he is of course uninterested in all his classes and may only pass with one class.  In that class he does not work at all (just like his other classes) but on all his tests he gets A's, so he is passing the class with a D.  It is a math class of course, the little math genius, hyper intelligent thing that he is.

The husband comes home this weekend for one week.  I can't wait for him to get here.  The son turns 16 in just ten days and the daughter graduates in eleven days.

I finished knitting my pink socks I was working on for the last 3 months or more.  It normally takes me 2 weeks to knit a pair of socks, I guess I just was not in a sock knitting mood.  I have gotten a couple of the kitchky ruffle scarves done too.  A neighbor and I are hoping to do a local fall craft fair and sell them their.  She is making them too.

I am open to good things to happen to myself and my family.  Just say'n.
