I met with the tax guy today.

Was I ever surprised. He actually told me that since I am pursuing (even casually) a freelance writer, I am self-employment as a writer. Maybe I am on my dream track and don't even know it. The encouragement on actually living a dream kept me going today.

Rechartering for my Cub Scout pack is due this week. I have about 40-60 boys and adults to get set up on the paperwork right, load into the data base and cross the t's and dot the i's.

I am still reeling from this morning. It was a simple statement, but it elevated me in a very strong way.

My enlightened feeling could not match anything of what an Iraqi may feel today after voting. A strong and powerful event took place. People took their life in their hands and walked out their doors, held their heads high and made a stand. A stand for their country, their neighbors, for themselves and their families. How many people in the world could have that much courage?
