My 14yr old daughter gets on a plane tomorrow morning and goes to Washington D.C. for a three day trip with two other kids from her 8th grade class. I am such a scared mommy right now! Yeah there are two adults going too, one teacher and one parent. But I am still scared.
My parents never let me travel with my school or friends. The first time I went any where just me and a friend was to my grandparents and I was 18. My folks had a fit when I went to a local Sci-Fi convention here in town for the weekend, should have heard them protest when I was 20 and went to Florida with my Community College.
My children really do not have any idea how much I let them do, that we let them do, that I could never have dreamt of ever doing.
I am one scared mommy right now.
