the fear of not knowing can freeze your soul or liberate it. we go through life worrying about where to eat, when we should be worried about making sure we have food to eat. we get angry over nature being nature and that we can't control it.
where am I going with this?
the cloud of ash that came from the eruption of the Iceland volcano. it can not be controlled so why is the media reporting all the precious money lost by business because of it? yes loosing money is a big deal in today's world. i wish it was not, but it is. our grandparents would have saved for a 'rainy day'. if individuals and companies were not so willing to not save perhaps it would not have hit the pocket book so hard.
don't get me wrong, i worry everyday about not having what we need to pay the bills. it makes it worse since i go to college and don't work for a paycheck and cant help out in the money department. john worries everyday that there will be a forced layoff, he doesn't say it but i know. lately he has been grabbing all the overtime he can handle. we both feel so sad but we can't talk to each other about it, it would just make it worse.
how about some good news from the volcano. what you ask? like family's finding themselves and that they really do like being together. like neighbors that are forced to not travel and find out they have some really decent neighbors that watch out for the others house even when they were not asked. what about learning a little about ourselves that not knowing what will happen is okay and a fact of life.
yeah we can still worry about the not knowing, but don't let it eat you up. that is something that i still need to learn.
