End of Stormagedan January 2014?

School has been off all week, 4 out of 5 days.  Looks like we will go back tomorrow for one day then have the weekend.  So for me for a substitute paycheck that means no paycheck.  It will consist of 2 days only for the last 3 weeks because of winter break the two weeks before Stormagedan. But....

We had snow, subzero temperatures, snow, frozen streets, snow on the streets, subzero temps, icy streets, snow.  Tomorrow we are to have rain, and lots of rain. So much rain that the sewer company is afraid of flooding because of the amount of snow, rain and that the sewer points will be blocked with snow and debris.  Ah, one more thing in the every changing wait 24 hours and the weather will change St. Louis.  

 The DD's truck broke down and is in the driveway waiting for better weather.  Hopefully we can find the problem and fix it cheap so that she has something to drive.  I think she has decided not to go to school this next semester because of her truck situation.  We don't have the money to get her another and we don't have another for her to drive.  But I think I have told you all of this.  

So, that is all I want to share for now.  But I will leave you with this motivation for the day from yesterday.  It is from SGI-USA but it goes for belief system;

Prayer is the foundation. But at the same time if we fail to make concrete efforts, no matter how much daimoku we chant, our prayers will not be answered. Buddhism is reason. If we just chant without doing any work we cannot succeed in our jobs.
